Courses
Do the Courses have a break?
Yes, courses over 3 hours have breaks. We have a fridge and tea / coffee facilities available for all students.
There is also a food court in Myers next door and a range of food and coffee facilities throughout the Pitt Street Mall.
How long does each Course go for?
Accredited Short Courses
Apply First Aid – 1 day (8 hours)
CPR – 3 hours
Advanced First Aid – 1 day (8 hours)
Advanced Resuscitation CLS – 0.5 day (4 hours)
Anaphylaxis & Asthma – 3 hours
Basic First Aid – 4 hours
Defibrillation – 3 hours
Senior First Aid – 1 day (8 hours) – now called Apply First Aid
Online training – non accredited
Anaphylaxis Epi pen online – 2 hours
Asthma Education online – 1.5 hours
CPR online – 2 hours
Defibrillation online – 2 hours
Qualifications
Cert IV Health Care (Ambulance) – Distance Learning – approx. 4hrs per week. Up to 6 months to complete.
Cert IV Frontline Management – Distance Learning – approx. 2hrs per week. Up to 1 year to complete.
Cert IV WHS – Distance Learning – approx. 2hrs per week. Up to 1 year to complete.
Cert IV WHS – Face to Face Learning – 4 days + assessment activity requirements (to be completed within 2 months)
Diploma Management – Distance Learning – approx. 6hrs per week. Up to 1 year to complete.
Safety Training
Fire Safety Training – 3 hours
Generic Mining Induction – 3 days
White Card (Construction Induction) – 1 day (8 hours)
Hospitality
RSA – 6 hours
Workplace Hygiene Procedures (Food Safety) – 4hrs
How will I know when to renew my Certificate?
We will contact you by mail or email around two months before your certification expires so you have enough time to re-enrol.
What should I bring to my Course?
Students to provide a pen and note pad and wear comfortable clothing.
What Training Room Facilities are there?
We have two large training rooms with projection equipment and audio facilities and a reception area.There is a student kitchen with tea / coffee facilities and a fridge and bathroom.
There is also easy access to range of cafe’s in and around the building.

Enrolment
Can I enrol in a Course Tomorrow or turn up without Enrolling?
Please ensure you contact us ahead of time so we can let you know if we have places still available for late enrolments and that the course is still scheduled.
How will I know when to renew my Certificate?
What are your Payment Options?
We accept Visa and Mastercard or cheque/EFT/money order. If you have received an enrolment from Jump On It or Living Social, we require your voucher and redemption code on the day of your practical.
Group Bookings
We accept Visa, Mastercard, cheque, money order and EFT. All payments for Group Training are required when the booking is made.
What is your Refund Policy?
Transfer and Refund Policies:
All requests for transfers or refunds must be received in writing or via email to info@trainingaid.edu.au. Refund requests will be reviewed and processed within 14 days of receiving the written notice.Training Aid Australia offer students the opportunity to transfer their course enrolment date, cancel and request a refund, provided it meets the following requirements:
First Aid Courses:
Refunds
- More than 7 days written notice = full refund*
- Notice given within 7 days of your course = no refund
- No refund will be issued after transferring your enrolment to another practical session
- Participants that do not attend, or are late for their scheduled course, will forfeit all payments
*All refunds will be charged less 2% of the course cost (to cover bank transaction fees), plus a $15 administration fee.
Transfer to another date
- More than 7 days written notice = first transfer is free of charge. Subsequent transfers incur a transfer fee charged at 50% of the course fee
- Notice given within 7 days of your course= 50% charge of the course fee.
- Course fees cannot be refunded once you transfer your enrolment to another date
- If you are sick on the day of your course, and can support this with a medical certificate, you will be rescheduled to an alternate date. A $10 administration fee applies.
- Certificates will be withheld until all transfer fees have been paid
White Card/RSA/RCG/Food Safety Courses:
Refunds
- More than 7 days written notice = *full refund
- Within 7 days of your course = no refund
- No refund will be issued after transferring your enrolment to another practical session
- Participants that do not attend, or are late for their scheduled course, will forfeit all payments
*All refunds will be charged less 2% of the course cost (to cover bank transaction fees), plus a $30 administration fee.
Transfer to another date
- More than 7 days written notice = $20 rescheduling fee applies.
- Notice given within 7 days of your original course date= 50% charge of the course fee + $30 administration fee.
- If you are late or don’t have the correct identification, you will not be admitted to the course and a rescheduling fee of 50% the full course fee will apply + $30 administration fee
- Course fees cannot be refunded once you transfer your enrolment to another date
- Certificates will be withheld until all transfer fees have been paid
Forklift Training:
Refunds
- No cancellation or rescheduling is permitted within the 7 day period prior to the course commencing
- Rescheduling more than 7 days prior to the course commencing incurs a $30 fee.
- Cancelling more than 7 days prior to the course commencing incurs a $60 fee.
- If you fail to attend the Forklift course for any reason, including illness, there is no refund of the course fee.
- The Forklift course is held over 3 days, once the course has commenced there will be no refund or rescheduling for any reason.
- Participants must arrive 15 minutes prior to the advertised starting time of the course.
- If you are more than 10 minutes late or don’t have the correct identification you will not be admitted to the course and a rescheduling fee of 50% of the full course fee will apply + a $60 administration fee
- All courses must be completed within 3 months of the original booking date.
Mining Courses:
Refunds
- More than 7 days written notice = $150 administration charge plus 2% credit card transaction fee
- Within 7 days = no refund available
- Participants that do not attend or are late for their scheduled course will forfeit all payments
Transfer to another date
- More than 7 days written notice = first transfer is free of charge. Subsequent transfers incur a transfer fee charged at 50% of the course fee
- Notice given within 7 days of booking = 50% charge of the course fee.
- Course fees cannot be refunded once you transfer your enrolment to another date
- Certificates will be withheld until all transfer fees have been paid
Maritime Training Courses:

Qualifications (Cert IV & Diploma):
- Once enrolled and booked into a training course, any initial payment is non-refundable. Any subsequent payments received during the online or distance learning course are also non-refundable.
In the event of the course being cancelled due to insufficient enrolments, candidates will be offered a full refund or may elect to transfer to another course date.

Course Cancellations:
If we have insufficient bookings to economically run a scheduled course, we reserve the right to cancel the course by notifying all clients that their course has been cancelled. In the event of a cancellation, clients are eligible for a free transfer to another training date or a full refund.

It is a requirement of Training Aid Australia Pty Ltd to recognise other AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by other RTO’s.
Training Aid Australia Pty Ltd requires proof of certification for all students who have undertaken training with other RTO’s prior to attending a course.
Training Aid Australia Pty Ltd reserves the right to verify authenticity of certificates to determine the currency of the certificate.
