Online Pre-Study Module
STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED if a participant does not complete the online pre-study module.
Participants must complete the online pre-study module. It covers the theoretical part of CPR training.
The link to the online pre-study will be provided in the confirmation email after completing the course booking.
Attendance
Participants are required to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to class start time to complete necessary registration paperwork.
ENTRY TO THE COURSE WILL BE REFUSED IF PARTICIPANTS ARRIVES 15 MINUTES AFTER THE SCHEDULED STARTING TIME
Identification

Participants are required to provide 1 form of photo ID (e.g. passports, driver’s licence, VIC photo ID card, student card)
Intermediate Understanding of English Language
PARTICIPANTS WILL BE REFUSED CLASS ENTRY IF BASIC ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS AREN’T MET.
The class consists of reading and understanding training materials and PowerPoint presentation, participating verbally in group activities and completing written assessments. Therefore, all participants are required to have a basic comprehension of reading and writing in English to successfully complete the CPR training course.
Use of interpreters or translators is not allowed.
ENTRANCE INTO THE CLASS WILL BE BASED ON THE OUTCOME OF THE LANGUAGE, LITERACY AND NUMERACY (LLN) TEST.
The LLN test consists of a series of simple questions to determine the level of participant’s language, literacy and numeracy. LLN test is available to all participants.
Physical Ability to Perform CPR
According to the Unit of Competency requirements, to successfully complete this course, a person needs to be physically able to perform at least 2 minutes of uninterrupted single rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) (5 cycles of both compressions and ventilations) on an adult resuscitation manikin placed on the floor.
