- 22282VIC Course in the Management of Asthma Risks and Emergencies in the Workplace
This training meets the new legislative standards as set out by The Ministerial Council for Education, Early Childhood Development and Youth Affairs.
Pre-study Online Training
All students must complete the online pre-study training program which has workbooks, manuals and videos to support the learning program, prior to attending the face-to-face component of the course.
The Online Training has Google Translate available so you can complete your study in your Native Language. View a full list of language translations available.

Who needs Asthma Training?
In a move to improve emergency response training in early childhood education institutions, new legislation specifies that there must be a staff member onsite at all times with current accredited Asthma, Anaphylaxis and First Aid training. Training should be renewed annually to maintain staff skills in the workplace.
This course is designed to educate individuals on how to manage the risk of Asthma in the workplace and includes training for prevention, management, treatment and intervention.
This unit applies to work in a wide range of settings where emergencies involving asthma attacks may occur, such as:
- Aged and community care
- Industry enterprises and other environments.
Recognition of Prior Learning
If you feel that you have the current competencies for this course, you may be eligible to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). RPL applications require the student to gather evidence and submit it to Training Aid Australia for assessment. To apply for RPL and discuss process, please contact Training Aid Australia head office.

Language Literacy and Numeracy Requirements
Entrants should have numeracy and literacy skills equivalent to level 2 of the National Reporting System. This means that the participant must be able to demonstrate the following:
Reading and writing:
Read and comprehend a range of simple texts and write a range of short texts in a number of contexts, which may be inter-related;
Use and respond to language around every day subject matter, which may include some unfamiliar aspects for a range of purposes in a number of contexts, which may be inter-related, including some unfamiliar material;
Numeracy and mathematics:
Deal easily with straightforward calculations, either manually and/or using a calculator.
We deliver training for groups in our Sydney Training Centre or we can come to you and provide in house training at your location. There is no minimum requirement for participants in group bookings.
