CPCCDE3016 & CPCCWHS2001: Classroom Demolition & WHS Training Sydney

Demolition Worker Training Requirement

• Starting from March 1, 2025, demolition workers must complete the SafeWork NSW approved course CPCCDE3016 Identify hazards on demolition sites and apply risk management strategies.
• This training ensures workers are competent in managing demolition hazards and implementing safety measures.
• The CPCCDE3016 unit is one of 11 required competencies for licence holders and named supervisors.

Training is required for workers who

• Workers physically undertaking licensed demolition work
• Operators of plant or equipment involved in licensed demolition work.
• Professionals engaged in tasks directly connected to licensed demolition work.

Training Records

• Employers are required to maintain records of employee training and qualifications to demonstrate compliance with SafeWork NSW regulations.
• Before commencing any high-risk demolition work, employers must notify SafeWork NSW and ensure that all workers have completed the necessary training.

Prerequisite Requirement

• The prerequisite for the course is CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies, and procedures in the construction industry.
• Our course offers a combined package that includes both the prerequisite CPCCWHS2001 training and the CPCCDE3016 demolition training, making it ideal for those who haven’t yet finished the CPCCWHS2001 unit.
• For those who have already completed CPCCWHS2001, you can enrol directly in our Demolition CPCCDE3016 only online course.

  • Unit Description: Learn to identify and manage hazards specific to demolition sites. This competency supports the induction procedure for specialist demolition workers.
  • Outcome: Ensure compliance with licensing, legislative, regulatory, or certification requirements for demolition work across different states and territories
• CPCCWHS2001 – Apply WHS Requirements, Policies, and Procedures in the Construction Industry
  • Unit Description: Gain fundamental skills in WHS, covering safe work practices, handling hazardous materials, planning for safety, and emergency response.
  • Outcome: Maintain a safe and compliant work environment aligned with the Model Work Health and Safety Regulations 2011

What will you receive

Upon successful completion of the course participants will receive Statements of Attainment for the following units of competency:

These statements will be issued by Training Aid Australia.

What will you learn

CPCCDE3016: this unit covers topics such as reviewing site and work plans, applying WHS risk management, ensuring public health and safety, implementing environmental risk management strategies, and continuously improving risk management methods.

Key skills and knowledge include identifying and mitigating risks related to building integrity, hazardous substances, and demolition activities. Compliance with workplace and regulatory requirements, proper use of PPE, and managing environmental risks are also crucial. Additionally, it involves engaging in professional development and team discussions to enhance demolition methods and safety strategies.

CPCCWHS2001: this unit focuses on identifying and assessing risks, handling hazardous materials, applying safe work practices, and following emergency procedures.

Participants will learn skills such as assessing and reporting hazards, using PPE and safety signs correctly, and complying with WHS legislation. The course teaches workers to plan and perform tasks safely, handle hazardous materials, respond to emergencies, and contribute to WHS reporting and compliance.

STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT CANNOT BE ISSUED
if a participant fails to produce a valid USI number.

Participants should arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time of the course to complete the necessary registration paperwork.

LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy)

The basic understanding, reading and writing of English is required.

As part of our pre-training review all students are required to complete an LLN assessment to determine a student’s eligibility for enrolment into their selected course.

All students enrolling into any Training Aid Australia course must have LLN skills to do simple calculations, understand English well enough to be able to read, write, and provide verbal responses to questions in English to undertake training and assessment in any of our courses.
