CPCCDE3016 & CPCCWHS2001: Classroom Demolition & WHS Training Sydney

According to SafeWork NSW requirements, all workers involved in demolition activities must complete the CPCCDE3016 unit as part of their mandatory training by 1 March 2025. The CPCCDE3016 unit is one of the 11 required competencies for demolition licence holders and named supervisors.

The prerequisite for the CPCCDE3016 course is CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry. Demolition Safety and WHS Training Combo course is delivered and statements of attainment are issued by Training Aid Australia Pty Ltd (RTO No 91411).
Training Aid Australia is accredited by the Australian Skills and Quality Authority (ASQA) to deliver CPCCDE3016 “Identify hazards on demolition sites and apply risk management strategies” and CPCCWHS2001 “Apply WHS Requirements In The Construction Industry” training courses.

Demolition Worker Training Requirement

  • Starting from March 1, 2025, demolition workers must complete the SafeWork NSW approved course CPCCDE3016 Identify hazards on demolition sites and apply risk management strategies.

Training is required for workers who

  • Workers physically undertaking licensed demolition work
  • Operators of plant or equipment involved in licensed demolition work.

Training Records

  • Employers are required to maintain records of employee training and qualifications to demonstrate compliance with SafeWork NSW regulations.
  • Before commencing any high-risk demolition work, employers must notify SafeWork NSW and ensure that all workers have completed the necessary training.

Hazards and Risks in Demolition Sites and WHS Training Course Requirements

USI (Unique Student Identifier)

From 1 January 2015, every student who undertakes nationally recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Australia is required to have a USI.

STATEMENT OF ATTAINMENT CANNOT BE ISSUED
if a participant fails to produce a valid USI number.

Participants should arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time of the course to complete the necessary registration paperwork.

ENTRY TO THE COURSE WILL BE REFUSED

LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy)

The basic understanding, reading and writing of English is required.

As part of our pre-training review all students are required to complete an LLN assessment to determine a student’s eligibility for enrolment into their selected course.

All students enrolling into any Training Aid Australia course must have LLN skills to do simple calculations, understand English well enough to be able to read, write, and provide verbal responses to questions in English to undertake training and assessment in any of our courses.
